1. Introduction

Bloom ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Bloom: No Contact & Healing mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Personal Information: First name (provided during onboarding) used solely for personalization within the App.
  • Onboarding Responses: Relationship duration, breakup details, and emotional struggles — stored locally on your device to personalize your healing plan.
  • Journal Entries & Unsent Letters: Content you write in the Unsent Box is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. Messages sent for AI reality checks are processed through our secure servers and are not stored permanently.
  • AI Chat Conversations: Messages exchanged with the AI Therapist feature are stored locally on your device. When you send a message, it is transmitted to our servers and processed using OpenAI's API to generate responses. Messages are not permanently stored on our servers or by OpenAI after generating a response.
  • Analytics Data: We collect anonymized usage data (screen views, feature usage, session duration) through Mixpanel to improve the App experience. This data does not personally identify you.
  • Subscription Information: Purchase and subscription data is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not have access to your payment details.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Personalize your healing plan and in-app experience
  • Provide AI-powered features (therapist chat, reality checks)
  • Improve app performance and user experience through analytics
  • Process and manage subscriptions
  • Send optional push notifications (with your consent)

4. Data Storage & Security

Your personal data (journal entries, chat history, onboarding responses) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. We use industry-standard encryption for any data transmitted to our servers. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat: Subscription management. Privacy Policy
  • Mixpanel: Analytics. Privacy Policy
  • Firebase: Remote configuration. Privacy Policy
  • Supabase: Backend infrastructure and AI feature processing. Privacy Policy
  • OpenAI: AI-powered features including the AI Therapist and reality check responses are generated using OpenAI's API. Your messages are sent to OpenAI for processing but are not used to train their models. Privacy Policy

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of analytics tracking
  • Export your data

To delete all your data, simply uninstall the App. Since data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling removes all personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
